This story follows a young boy named Walter. Before bedtime he is jumping on his bed, his father comes in and says that if he does not stop jumping his bed will crash through the floor. A threat that many parents have probably told their children, however, in Walter's case it actually does crash through the floor and the book showcases the long fall down. He falls through the floor directly on top Ms. Hattie and her spaghetti and so on. Children will enjoy the silliness of the different situations that Walter and his bed crash through. At the end of the book, Walter realizes that his bed has not crashed through the floor, it was just a dream, and he decides that he should stop jumping on the bed. The illustrations are well-done and will hold the visual attention of a child. They are very detailed and colored warmly. This book would be a great bedtime story for young children.
