Stomp, Dinosaur, Stomp!
Mayo, M., & Ayliffe, A. (2010). Stomp, dinosaur, stomp! New York, NY: Walker.
Format: Soft Cover
Age:3+
This book goes through different kinds of dinosaurs, naming them by their actual scientific names. The book tells of what each dinosaurs love. For example, "Immense Diplodocus loved swish, swish, swishing, long tail flicking, and fast whip, whipping..." This book can teach young children words that are not typically found in children's books, like the words "immense" "sleek" and "crested". This book will be great for children who like dinosaurs, but also for those who don't. The images show the dinosaurs in a colorful way that is not scary for young children. The text also describes how they look or how they eat or even how they attack enemies, but in a way that is not threatening, scary, or over informative.
